Frame Colectivo will lead a community artistic activation in the architectural installation designed by architect Patrícia da Silva, located in the Makro housing development, as part of the architecture and art festival Forma da Vizinhança.
With a practice that intersects architecture, art, and critical research, Frame Colectivo challenges hegemonic narratives of urban space, proposing forms of spatial justice from a decolonial perspective. Drawing from their ongoing investigation into ways of inhabiting and the relationships built with territory, the collective proposes a workshop and an open conversation with the community at Makro area.
Memory, urban ecology, and imagination intertwine in this activation as drivers for thinking — and reinventing — the common, calling for other ways of living in and caring for shared space.
